TechForce Foundation Welcomes
Lisa Evans as Chief Development Officer
Evans will expand and oversee TechForce Foundation’s fundraising efforts
April 12, 2022 – SCOTTSDALE, AZ – TechForce Foundation’s® welcomes Lisa Evans, CFRE, as its newly appointed Chief Development Officer. Evans brings over 20 years’ experience in non-profit development to the role, where she will oversee TechForce Foundation’s fundraising and capacity building.
“The work that TechForce Foundation is doing to promote and support transportation technician careers is close to my heart”, says Evans “These jobs are high-tech, in high-demand and provide an essential service to keep America moving. As the parent of a mechanically minded, hands-on learner who chose to pursue vocational training vs. a 4-year degree, I have seen first hand the benefits of a ‘new collar’ career path. I look forward to aggressively growing TechForce’s capacity to fulfill its mission.”
Lisa Evans is a graduate of Indiana University’s Lilly School of Philanthropy, and holds a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) Certification. Her experience includes individual and major gifts fundraising, corporate support, community relations, development operations, board development, and marketing and PR. Evans will leverage her experience to oversee TechForce’s Development Team and build the Foundation’s private giving campaigns.
“Lisa Evans brings a career of philanthropy and fundraising expertise to TechForce,” says CEO Jennifer Maher. “We’re excited for Lisa to help TechForce grow and diversify its donor base, and cultivate even deeper relationships with our supporters. TechForce has enjoyed strong support in corporate strategic alliances, and we now need to welcome more individuals and foundations to our career exploration and workforce development work. We look forward to what TechForce can accomplish with Lisa on board.”
TechForce Foundation is spearheading a workforce development initiative to help inspire and support tomorrow’s workforce of technicians. TechForce has also created the first and only social network designed and gamified for professional technicians and tech students to connect with each other, employers and schools (JoinTechForce.org). The transportation community is supporting it with content and using it to learn, connect, find events, and explore job opportunities while competing for prizes and leaderboard status.
