Transition Veterans’ technical skills into jobs at home.
TechForce Foundation is proud to support Veterans who wish to transition their skills to post-deployment jobs as automotive, aviation, diesel, collision, motorcycle, marine and motorsports technicians.
While Veterans often work on millions of dollars worth of equipment during active duty, they can’t touch your Kia until they’ve obtained the training and certifications required by employers stateside.
Indeed, VA benefits typically help with tuition, relocation and housing, but there are gaps. For example, housing benefits (BAH) don’t start until 6-8 weeks AFTER the start of school…so we have Vets living in their cars or lacking child care, applying for short-term TechForce support. Similarly, they may have already used their relocation funding to get home but later decide to go to tech school elsewhere and must personally cover that expense. And more seriously, Life Happens to our Veterans, and a sudden, financial emergency can put them and their families in devastating situations. We want Vets to complete their training and get into jobs as professional technicians, so we ask all Veteran-friendly companies and donors to support this fund.
TechForce and its Veterans at Work: Military Transition Fund participates in the federal government’s Combined Federal Campaign (#70192) and has received accolades from the Military Support Groups of America.

Support Veterans
TechForce mostly needs donations of money and temporary housing to support Veterans in need. These Vets are highly sought after by employers, and yet sometimes a Life Happens emergency is enough to derail their plans for thriving in industry. Funds earmarked for Veterans will only be used to support Veterans.
